What is an E-111?

The E-111 form is available from the Social Security (National Health) Service of your country, or at the I.N.S.S. (National Institute of Social Security) office in your town or region if you live in Spain. This document entitles you to medical care in the country in which you are spending your holiday. It is important to bear in mind that in Spain you can only use the Social Security services and not those of private doctors or hospitals.

What is an E-121?

Through the E-121 form you register with the Spanish Social Security (National Health Service) if you are resident in Spain and are therefore entitled to Social Security services.

What is an E-112?

The E-112 form entitles those insured by the Social Security Service to receive treatment in a country other than that of their residence. For this you must request the authorisation of the specialist who is treating you in your country of residence. For example: if you prefer to receive treatment for a non-urgent complaint in your country of origin and are registered with the Spanish Social Security Service. In this case you must request this form from the Spanish Social Security inspection service.
